You know you have a good design on your hands when other people think “man, I wish I came up with that idea”. This book cover redesign by Elizabeth Perez is one of those pieces. Not only did Elizabeth tie the concept of the story into her cover, she integrated it literally.

“I wanted to spread the book-burning message to the book itself. The book’s spine is screen-printed with a matchbook striking paper surface, so the book itself can be burned.” -From Perez’ website.

It’s been 20 years since I turned the pages of Fahrenheit 451, but it remains one of the best reads in my memory banks. If you have yet to read this classic, get it here for cheap: Fahrenheit 451.
